Thank you Sarah for sharing your story! I admire your work and wish someday I could take a class with you. When my husband and I visited the San Juan Islands last year, the whales had traveled further north and we missed them. Thanks to your story, I can imagine what you heard!

Hi Sarah, Your work is fabulous. It is very inspirational. Love the colours you have used. If you ever come to Australia go to a place called Hervay Bay in Queensland you can see the whales duri g the day in a boat. Good luck with the quilt at Lng Beach. Cheers Jo (Aust)

Oh my, Sarah! This is outstanding! I was already thrilled by your story I just read in your blog email and then this… what an exquisite rendering of what you heard! And what an extraordinary once-in-a-lifetime experience you all went through that night when the whales sang… I have never heard it but from the way your quilt describes it, you can almost hear what you heard… I admire your work but I think this is the best ever! Congratulations and I am eager to hear in due time how this fairs at the quilt exhibit!

Love this quilt. Your works just keeps getting better and all the writing adds so much to this piece.
I am taking Val Webb’s lettering class after seeing that you had taken it, having a great time and learning so much. I had never used water colors before and am learning how to do the lettering. She is a great teacher as are you.
